LIFE IN BLOOM

Learning How to Flourish in God's Grace

About “Life in Bloom”

Welcome to Life in Bloom!

If you have been journeying with me for a while, you likely know this space by its original name, Beyond the Well. That season was a beautiful and necessary beginning. But as my life, faith, and calling have evolved, so has this blog. We have drawn the water, and now, it is time to grow.

My Journey from Surviving to Being

I am an educator, wife, and mom navigating the busy, beautiful chaos of raising our children. Between work, our church community, and other family and community obligations, my plate is full. For a long time, I was caught in the endless cycle of doing—just surviving to the next nap time, the next feeding, the end of the workday, or the weekend.

The world told me I needed to “thrive,” but I eventually realized that the pressure to thrive often pushes us to constantly seek “more” or “next,” leaving us restless and without true contentment. I realized I didn’t want to just keep pushing; I wanted to simply be.

Let’s Flourish Together

Whether you are a mother in the trenches of raising young ones or a woman simply trying to create margin in a busy life, this space is for you. Rather than striving, I invite you to join me on a journey of learning how to flourish in His grace, rest securely in the identity God says we have, and stop performing so you can start flourishing.

I was on my best friend’s page (Pharr Away) and just so happened to see your button on the side. I said, “Hey, there’s the Old Well. It must be UNC related, so I must check it out!” I browsed your page and realized that we went to school together. I remember seeing you around here and there. I love your page and look forward to reading future posts!!
