Weekly Word- Ephesians 3:20-21

As I reflect on the past month, and how God has truly been moving in our lives, I’m reminded of this verse:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV)

Every aspect of this move to Jacksonville makes me reflect on this verse.  At every stage, God has not only answered our prayers, but provided beyond what we were believing Him for.  At every point in this process I can identify the hand of God at work, and even moreso, shaping and shifting dynamics for our benefit.  If I’ve learned nothing else from this experience, I’ve learned that when you’re willing, God will shift your circumstances to enable you to accomplish His purpose for your life.  And for that, He deserves all the glory and the praise.

Be encouraged!  Peace and Blessings!

Weekly Word- Philippians 4:6-7

It’s been a whirlwind for #teamAlmond as Preacherman and I prepared for and made some major life changes.  One thing that has kept me constant over the past weeks is this:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Over this past weeks, I have found that if I’m worried about something, or if something is making me nervous or apprehensive, I haven’t prayed enough about it and I haven’t truly turned it over to God.  Over the past weeks, the faithfulness, provision, and favor of God has been at work in our lives, and at my core, it has been my goal to rest in the providence of God as opposed to be anxious about things that I cannot control.

The hymn is right- “Oh what peace we often forfeit; oh, what needless pain we bear.  All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.”

Be encouraged!  Peace and Blessings!
