Weekly Word- Genesis 28:15

It’s been a little quiet on the “Weekly Word” front for a few weeks, as Preacherman and I (well, mostly I) struggled to memorize our last verse.  As Preacherman and I continued to talk about the verse and the things that we were facing in our lives, I realized how applicable it was; which made it easier to hold on to.  Sometimes in looking for the big move of God, we miss the little details and fail to remember the basics- like standing on His word.  That experience was a nice reminder.

But without further ado, here is the weekly word for this week:

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” – Genesis 28:15 (NIV)

There are so many promises in this scripture, and I find it to be so encouraging.

In case you missed them, here are the past Weekly Words:

Week 1: January 8

Week 2: January 15

Week 3: January 22

Week 4: January 29

Week 5: February 5

Be encouraged!  Peace and Blessings!

Weekly Word: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

So, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that this week’s “Weekly Word” is almost identical to last week’s “Weekly Word”.

Welp.

Preacherman and I weren’t as diligent as we could have been on memorizing the scripture, so instead of moving on, we decided to keep it for another week (and add an additional verse to it).  I mean, if our goal is to memorize the scripture, we can’t just keep going when it doesn’t happen, you know?  We gotta stay the course!

So for this week:

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” –2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV84)

In case you missed them, here are the past Weekly Words:

Week 1: January 8

Week 2: January 15

Week 3: January 22

Week 4: January 29

Be encouraged!  Peace and Blessings!
