sick and tired…

my subject describes me. i’m sick and tired. but i think fannie lou hamer said it best: “sick and tired of being sick and tired.” with that said, i suppose that it’s time to make some changes in my life. i need to increase my productivity and really get some things done. but…as always, there is no time. it sucks that i’m getting to be sick now, at the end of the semester, when i need to finish off strong. i also need to finish these graduate school applications. i’ve completed them all online…it’s just the actual statement of purpose and such that needs to be taken care of. i’m almost complete with UNC, and I’m going to finish Maryland’s this week. then i can breathe easy…one burden off of my shoulders.

i also think it’s time to find another job…or find an additional job. money is getting to be tight around here and i need to be able to buy christmas gifts and stuff, as well as pay bills. we’ll see what happens on that front. there were a few openings that i noticed that i think will be good for me. so…that’s the quest for now…to finish grad school statements and to get up on this work and be ultra productive for the next couple of weeks. i’m still finding inspiration in 1 corinthians 2:9 which says, “However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.'” ain’t that what’s up?

so…for now i’ma focus my energy on getting some reading done for class…i’ll holla

the beginning…or rather the continuation of something

so i have this blog as my personal attempt to express myself. this is the continuation of my thoughts, which can previously be found on livejournal (www.livejournal.com/users/edavis). some of you might find it interesting, i feel like it’s just how i express myself.

anyhow…since this is the beginning, i don’t have much to say RIGHT now…but i’m sure i’ll have something later. something that i thought was interesting from the EROT show last night:

“when no one’s ever told you that you’re beautiful…when all those things are new to you…it’s amazing what you’ll let n***a do to you…” now it might have been that quote word for word, but it’s something to that effect. i’m feeling that right now…it takes me back to another time, and i understand how women fall into certain situations with men. it’s a powerful thing…

anyhow, my other thought, which almost completely opposes the previous one is:

“The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.”~Rev. Billy Graham

that’s enough inspiration to get me through each and every day. i praise god for his grace and his mercy…and his salvation.

so that’s all i got right now…but umm…for inspiration, read 1 corinthians 2:9.
