Haven’t read the article yet, but there are several parks in DC where chess is BIG. Supposedly white collar execs and homeless people play against each other.

I kind of want to know how, but I don’t think I have the patience. And I don’t think I’m presented with too many situations where I will have the opportunity to play … which is also why I haven’t learned an instrument, but I digress.
